Mike has his Ph.D. in Bioenergetics (interdisciplinary program in Exercise Science, Physiology, & Biochemistry) from East Carolina University. Dr. Ormsbee earned his M.S. in Exercise Physiology and Sports Nutrition from South Dakota State University. Previously, Mike worked as a clinical research associate in the human performance laboratory at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY.

Dr. Ormsbee's research and expertise has focused on training and eating to prevent obesity-related diseases, achieving optimal body composition and optimizing athletic performance. His effort in these areas has led to his work being published in scientific journals and presented nationally. He has written numerous health, nutrition and fitness related articles for local and national publications including Muscle Media, Men’s Health, IDEA Fitness Journal, Achieve Magazine, LeadingEdge Magazine, Sports Nutrition Insider, and Inside Fitness Magazine. Mike also serves as a health and nutrition expert and consultant for TV and radio programs and fitness organizations.

Dr. Ormsbee played NCAA Division III (ECAC)hockey at Skidmore College and played one season for East Carolina University (where he still holds the ECU record for goals in a season, points in a season and goals in one game). In his spare time, Mike enjoys staying fit, traveling, weight training and competing in triathlons.

Lauren has her M.S. from East Carolina University in Exercise Physiology and her B.S. from East Tennessee State University in Exercise Science. She holds the highly sought after credential from the American College of Sports Medicine of an Exercise Specialist (ACSM-ES). She was a Division I athlete and professional baskeball player (Riva San Vitale, Switzerland) and has written articles for Achieve Magazine and Womens Health . She specializes in female fitness and will help you to train and eat to make you look and feel your best.
